A photo of your panel with the cover off. We need to see the main breaker rating and whether there's room for a two-pole breaker. If you're not comfortable removing the cover, don't — we'll look when we're out.

Roughly where the tub or pool is going. Distance from the panel drives the trench and the wire, and wire is the single biggest variable in a pool electrical quote. A pace count is close enough to start.

Can I run the spa on an existing outdoor circuit?

Almost never. Hot tubs need a dedicated circuit sized to the manufacturer's nameplate, with GFCI protection and a disconnect within sight of the tub. Sharing a circuit with garage receptacles or landscape lighting fails on load, on GFCI coordination, and on the dedicated-circuit requirement itself. If someone offers to tap an existing line to save you a trench, that's a red flag.

How far from the water does the disconnect have to be?
